Beyond the Dollar: Parting with possessions can make a Kingdom difference

Looking for a way to give more to Standing at the Crossroads? Consider parting with a possession. Liquidating and then giving the profits from possessions shows God you are willing to trust Him fully and to place His vision before your own. Often the spiritual blessing of letting go of an item — whose value can be put to better use in the Kingdom — is more meaningful than giving cash!

When considering your own possessions that may be put to better use for the Kingdom, think creatively! Nearly any item can become a gift whose profits can make an eternal difference, including

• Vehicles
• Art
• Jewelry
• Heirlooms
• Musical instruments
• Antiques

Those with gifts that are non-tangible, requiring simple paperwork to transfer ownership, may not need to sell their items and instead are asked to contact the church. Non-tangible items of this type include:

• Real estate
• Stocks
• Retirement accounts
• Mutual funds
