What we believe
Our core convictions affect everything we think, say, and do. At the center of this core, we unapologetically acknowledge the Bible as our authority. The following statements should help you understand the nonnegotiable, Biblical ideas that fundamentally define who we are:
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God (II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:19-21).
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 8:6, Matthew 28:19-20, Ephesians 4:4-6).
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Matthew 3:17, I Peter 1:18-19, 2:21-25, Matthew 1:18-23, 28:1-6, Acts 1:9, John 2:9, 4:46, 5:5)
We believe that, for salvation, God has given this pattern in the New Testament:
Hear the gospel (Romans 10:17)
Believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior (Mark 16:16, John 3:15,16)
Repent of all sins (Acts 2:38, 3:19)
Confess Christ as God’s Son (Matthew 10:32, Romans 10:9,10)
Be baptized by immersion (Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 6:1-8)
Live your life for Christ and communicate with him in prayer (Romans 1:17, II Peter 3:18, Revelation 2:10, Acts 2:42, Colossians 4:2, Philippians 4:6)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling we are enabled to live a Godly life (John 14:26, 15:26- 27).
We believe in the personal and imminent second coming of Christ (Acts 1:11, I Thessalonians 4:14-18, Matthew 24:29-31)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved are resurrected to eternal life in heaven and lost are resurrected to eternal life in hell (Matthew 25:31-32, Revelation 20:4-14, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
